Following the retirement of Carolyn Nash, Kettering Symphony Orchestra is seeking to recruit a new leader to commence rehearsals with the orchestra from Monday 21st May 2018.
Kettering Symphony Orchestra is a good standard amateur ensemble that has traditionally retained a professional leader and conductor. Rehearsals are held from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on Monday evenings during the Autumn, Spring and Summer Terms and normally culminate with a well attended concert at a local venue. The leader is always consulted regarding programme choice and concerts designed to both entertain and challenge the membership, regularly involving professional soloists.

This is a remunerated position (terms and conditions available upon application) and would suit an experienced orchestral violin player and teacher, who is enthusiastic about amateur music making, able to perform orchestral solos as required, and support the conductor regarding string technique and appropriate bowing. Further information about the orchestra, including recent concert performances, can be obtained from our web site at www.kettsymphorch.co.uk.

If interested, please apply ASAP by email attaching your current C.V. and a brief explanation of what attracts you to the post, directly to the Chairman at [email protected]. For an informal discussion contact the Chairman on 07909818132.
